Summit Fire Consulting Attends SFPE Professional Development Conference

Summit Fire Consulting was recently represented by staff member Mark Rivers at the 2008 Society of Fire Protection Engineers (SFPE) Annual Meeting – Professional Development Conference and Exposition in Charlotte, North Carolina. The convention features multiple classes and seminars on a wide array of fire protection topics and is attended by industry professionals from around the world, such as Authorities Having Jurisdiction (AHJ’s), Architects, Consultants, Engineers, Insurance Associates, and Inspectors. The two, one-day courses which Mark attended discussed the design fundamentals of smoke control systems. These systems include stair pressurization, smoke and heat removal, atrium smoke control systems, and others. This is the fourth consecutive year Summit Fire Consulting has attended an SFPE educational event.
