Minnesota Twins Hire Summit Fire Consulting for New Ballpark

Summit Fire Consulting has been retained by the Minnesota Twins to provide fire protection engineering services for the Major League Baseball team’s new stadium, Target Field in Minneapolis, Minnesota. Summit Fire Consulting will act as the Special Inspector for the smoke control systems at the new ballpark, which will open in April 2010. Target Field is designed with seven mechanical smoke control systems. As smoke control Special Inspector, Summit Fire Consulting will work with the construction team to prepare the smoke control systems for Certificate of Occupancy and demonstrate compliance with the building code, fire code, and design intent to the Authority Having Jurisdiction. Summit Fire Consulting’s scope also includes acting as a liaison between the design team, construction team, and Authority Having Jurisdiction.
