Summit Fire Consulting Provides Fire Protection Design Assistance to Jails

Summit Fire Consulting is in the process of completing fire protection engineering services for various county jails, justice centers, law enforcement centers, courthouses, and other institutional occupancies around the State of Minnesota. Although its scope varies from project to project, Summit Fire Consulting typically acts as the Engineer of Record for the fire protection systems in these buildings. Services are provided during the Schematic Design, Design Development, Construction Document, and Construction Administration phases of the project. Construction Documents (including design drawings and specifications for fire sprinkler and standpipe systems) are approved by one of Summit Fire Consulting’s Professional Engineers (PE’s) in fire protection engineering. Design work for some of these projects began in late 2007, and construction is expected to continue in to 2010 at least.
